Portside

Built by someone with an R32 in the garage

Hunting rare JDM parts today means six browser tabs on Yahoo Auctions Japan through a proxy, four Facebook groups, two forums, and a saved search that emails junk. The part you've wanted for a year sells in an afternoon, in Japanese, to somebody who happened to be awake.

Portside puts that in one place. Search in plain English, get an email the moment a match lands, and book container space to get it to your door.

How it works

  1. One search, every dock

We index listings from Yahoo Auctions Japan and other sources continuously, translate them for search, tag them by chassis, and grade condition from the seller's own photos with AI. You search in English; the index speaks Japanese.

  2. A watchlist that emails you first

Save any search to your watchlist. When a new listing matches, you get an email: straight away on Pro, or in a digest every 3 days on Free. Speed is the whole game on rare parts.

  3. Import without the email chains

Importers list real container schedules with routes, cutoffs, space and price per cubic meter. Request a quote against a listing and follow the booking from quote to your door.

Common questions

Are the condition grades trustworthy?
They're read by AI from the seller's photos and text, which catches scratches, rust and haze the title never mentions. Treat them as a filter, not a guarantee, and check the photos yourself before bidding.
Run an import business?
Listing container space is free, and you earn on the space you fill. List your schedule, or read the importer plans.
